All the King's Men
This 2006 remake of a 1949 classic examines the lies and deception that defined mid-century Louisiana politics. Willie Stark (Sean Penn) rises from relative obscurity to become the state governor, stepping on virtually everyone along the way. Jude Law plays a naive journalist whose backroom research takes him places he'd rather not have gone.
